Why I Study Japanese

Before moving to the US at age 9, I spent my entire life living in Tokyo and attending Japanese public school. It was there that I learned to appreciate Japanese culture and all of its unique quirks. Here is a picture of me and my twin brother heading off to our first day of school back in 1st grade.
I want to study Japanese because I'd like to improve upon the language skills that I had growing up and eventually use them to live in Japan again. My first four weeks of class have been filled with excitement at the idea of learning a language that I am passionate about and I look forward to encountering more Japanese opportunities as the year goes on.
